The admin calendar
The admin calendar shows every event happening at your parish — Masses, weddings, baptisms, funerals, quinceañeras, and memorials — all in one month view. Unlike the priest calendar (which shows only a priest's own assignments), the admin calendar displays events across all celebrants and locations, giving you a complete picture of parish activity.
Navigating the calendar
Navigate to Admin Dashboard → Calendar. The calendar opens in month view.
Toolbar controls appear at the top:
- Today button — jumps to the current month.
- Arrow buttons — move forward or backward one month at a time.
- Month/Year label — click to open a picker where you can jump directly to any month and year, then click Go.
- Refresh button — manually reloads all calendar data.
- Private Masses toggle — shows or hides private Masses (those scheduled outside the public parish schedule). This preference is saved between sessions.
- Memorials toggle — shows or hides memorial offering events. This preference is also saved between sessions.
Event types and color coding
Events on the calendar are color-coded so you can identify them at a glance:
Mass events
Mass events use colors based on their intention status:

| Gray | No intentions attached |
| Blue | Has approved intentions |
| Yellow | Has pending intentions awaiting approval |
| Purple | Private Mass (not on the public schedule) |
| Green | Already celebrated |
| Red | Cancelled |
A Mass at full intention capacity shows an additional visual indicator so you know no more intentions can be added.
Sacramental events
Each sacrament type has its own distinct color:

Memorial events
Memorial offerings appear as all-day events spanning their configured date range, displayed with their own distinct styling.
Viewing event details
Click any event on the calendar to see its details.
For a Mass event, a dialog opens showing:
- The Mass time and title (if one was set)
- Location
- Celebrant(s) assigned
- All intentions attached to that Mass, including the intention text, type, and requester name (with the † symbol for deceased intentions)
For sacramental events (weddings, baptisms, funerals, quinceañeras), clicking opens the relevant detail dialog with ceremony information, participants, and assigned celebrant.
For memorial events, clicking opens the memorial event dialog showing the memorial setup name, date range, and status.
Managing intentions from the calendar
The calendar is not just a read-only view — you can manage Mass intentions directly from it.
When you click a Mass event, the intentions dialog opens with tabs for:
- Current intentions — view all intentions already attached to this Mass.
- Assign — browse the pool of unassigned intentions and attach them to this Mass.
- Create — create a new intention directly for this Mass (for walk-in or phone requests).
This makes the calendar a quick way to handle intention assignment without navigating to the Mass Intentions tab.
Admin actions on Mass events
Hover over a Mass event to reveal the actions menu (three-dot icon). Available actions include:
- View/Edit Intentions — opens the full intentions management dialog for that Mass.
- Edit Mass Event — change the Mass time, date, or celebrant assignment.
- Correct Fulfillment — appears only for Masses already marked as celebrated. Use this to fix incorrectly recorded fulfillment details.
How the admin calendar differs from the priest calendar

If your account has the "Also a Priest" toggle enabled, you can switch between the admin calendar (all events) and the priest calendar (your assignments) using the Priest Console link in the sidebar.
Real-time updates
The calendar updates in real time as changes happen across the system. When a new intention is submitted, an approval is processed, or a celebrant is reassigned, the calendar reflects the change without needing a manual refresh. The intention counts and status colors update live.
