The Sacristy Kiosk
The Sacristy Kiosk is a dedicated display designed for the sacristy — the room where priests prepare before Mass. It shows the next upcoming Mass at a glance, who is celebrating, and which intentions are attached. A tablet or computer in the sacristy running the kiosk gives you everything you need to prepare without opening the full Priest Console.
Accessing the kiosk
Navigate to your parish's Sacramentum address followed by /kiosk (for example, https://stmary.sacramentum.app/kiosk). The kiosk is protected by a PIN. Enter the Kiosk PIN set by your parish administrator and submit it to unlock the display.
If the PIN is incorrect, an error message appears. Contact your parish administrator if you do not know the PIN.
Selecting a location
After unlocking, the kiosk asks you to choose which location to display. If your parish has configured kiosk views (groups of locations), those appear as options alongside individual locations. Select the location or view that matches the sacristy you are in.
What the kiosk displays
Once a location is selected, the kiosk shows a single-screen dashboard with four main areas:
Header
The header shows the location name, the current date and day of the week, the time in the parish timezone, and the name of the liturgical feast (if one is observed today). A status badge indicates whether the next Mass is in progress, how soon it starts, or that no upcoming Mass is scheduled.
Next Mass card
This prominent card shows the start time of the next Mass in large text, along with "Ends at" time beneath it. If the Mass has a specific title (such as a holy day name), it appears on the right side. Any schedule tags or notes added by the administrator are displayed below.
Celebrants card
This card lists who is assigned to celebrate the Mass. Each celebrant's name is shown with their clergy title (for example, "Fr. John Smith").
If a celebrant slot is marked "To Be Determined," the kiosk shows a message: "Tap 'I am celebrating' to claim this Mass." This lets a priest arriving at the sacristy quickly assign themselves without needing to open the admin tools.
Claiming a Mass from the kiosk:
- Tap I am celebrating next to the TBD placeholder.
- A dialog opens with a dropdown list of available priests.
- Optionally toggle Include visiting clergy to show priests from outside the parish.
- Select your name from the list.
- Tap Confirm update.
To change an existing celebrant assignment, tap Change celebrant and follow the same steps.
Mass intentions card
This card lists all intentions attached to the upcoming Mass, organized by celebrant. Each intention shows:
- To announce — the text that should be read aloud during Mass
- As requested — the original wording from the requester (if different from the announcement text)
- By — the requester's name, with their email or phone if available
- Stipend status — a badge indicating whether the stipend has been paid, is unpaid, or is not required, along with the amount
Intentions not yet assigned to a specific celebrant appear under an Awaiting celebrant assignment heading.
The kiosk is designed to be your final check before celebrating. Glance at the intentions card to confirm which names you will announce during the Memento of the Living or the Memento of the Dead.
Online status
A connectivity indicator in the header shows whether the kiosk has an active internet connection. If the connection drops, an offline icon appears and the display shows the last time data was refreshed. The kiosk continues to show the most recently loaded information until the connection is restored.
