Scheduling and Fulfilling Intentions

Once an intention is assigned to you, it needs to be scheduled and eventually fulfilled. Sacramentum provides three paths depending on the situation: scheduling to a public Mass, scheduling a private Mass, or recording a manual fulfillment.

Path 1: Schedule to a public Mass

Use this option when you want to attach the intention to a regularly scheduled parish Mass where you are the celebrant.

  1. Open My Mass Intentions and find the intention you want to schedule.
  2. Click the three-dot menu and select Schedule to Public Mass.
  3. A dialog opens showing a summary of the intention (the person it is for, the requester, and the type).
  4. Select a Mass from the Select Mass dropdown. The list shows Masses in the next 30 days where you are the celebrant or the celebrant is still to be determined, and where intention slots are available.
  5. Each option in the dropdown shows the date, time, location, and available slot count.
  6. Click Schedule to Mass.

The intention status changes to Scheduled and it appears on your calendar on the Mass date. When the Mass event passes, the intention is automatically marked as Fulfilled — no further action is needed.

Automatic fulfillment

Intentions scheduled to a public or private Mass are fulfilled automatically when the scheduled date passes. You do not need to return to mark them complete.

Path 2: Schedule a private Mass

Use this option when you plan to celebrate a private Mass for the intention outside of the regular parish schedule.

  1. Open My Mass Intentions and find the intention.
  2. Click the three-dot menu and select Schedule Private Mass.
  3. A dialog opens showing a summary of the intention and your name listed as the celebrant.
  4. Select a Planned Date using the date picker. Only today and future dates are available.
  5. Enter a Planned Time in the time field. The parish timezone is shown next to the field.
  6. Optionally select a Location from the dropdown. If the parish has a location named "Private Celebration," it is pre-selected. You can also choose "No specific location."
  7. Click Schedule.

The intention status changes to Scheduled. When the planned date and time pass, the intention is automatically marked as Fulfilled.

Path 3: Mark as fulfilled manually

Use this option when you have already celebrated the Mass and need to record it after the fact — for example, when you celebrated at an external location or forgot to schedule in advance.

  1. Open My Mass Intentions and find the intention.
  2. Click the three-dot menu and select Mark as Fulfilled.
  3. A dialog opens showing a summary of the intention and your name as the celebrant.
  4. Optionally select a Location from the dropdown, or leave it as "No specific location."
  5. Select the Fulfillment Date — only today and past dates are available, since you are recording something that already happened.
  6. Enter the Fulfillment Time. The parish timezone is shown next to the field. It defaults to the current time.
  7. Click Mark as Fulfilled.

The intention status changes immediately to Fulfilled with the date, time, and location recorded.

Required fields

The fulfillment date and time are required. The dialog will not let you submit without them.

After fulfillment

Once an intention is fulfilled, you can still view its details by selecting View Details from the action menu. The detail panel shows when and where the Mass was celebrated and who the celebrant was. No further action is needed — the requester can see the fulfilled status in their parishioner dashboard.
